Ashleigh and Allen met in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - a world away from their homes and their loved ones. Their friendship, built on a similar sense of humor, a shared desire to live outside their comfort zones, and a profound respect for each other soon blossomed into an ironclad connection. They knew swiftly that they were in love.

Ashleigh returned to the United States and they spent the next year navigating transatlantic distance, which offered them a unique opportunity to meet at different spots all over the globe. They drank Oktoberfest beers with friends in Munich, walked through Petra in Jordan, went scuba diving with sharks in Malaysia, and strolled the streets of London. Their adventures and collected memories intensified their ambition to do life together.

They settled into a life together in New York City, a place where Allen could continue his career in railway construction and Ashleigh could pursue performing opportunities. NYC has been their home since 2016. They cultivated a strong community, enjoyed the endless array of cultural experiences the city offers, and navigated the health scares, job changes, apartment moves, family events, and time apart that life threw their way, forever choosing each other.

On April 17th, 2023, Allen's birthday, he proposed to Ashleigh in his sister's backyard, under the cherry blossom tree. After eight years together, they were ready to take the sacred step into marriage, built on a foundation of trust, shared history, and deep joy.

Although they have nearly a decade under their belts, Ashleigh and Allen are thrilled to walk into the next chapter of their wild and precious lives, surrounded by those who have who have loved them the most.
